THE HAYES STANDARD
BUILT WITH DISCIPLINE.
PROTECTED BY PRINCIPLE.
The Hayes Standard gives a name to the disciplines that have guided our work from the beginning.
Construction will always contain variables. Avoidable uncertainty should not be one of them.
The Hayes Standard is the discipline we apply before, during, and after construction to create greater clarity, stronger accountability, and more disciplined execution.
Most construction problems do not begin in the field. They begin with incomplete information, unresolved decisions, misaligned expectations, and assumptions left unchallenged.
Our responsibility is to expose those conditions early—when they can still be solved intelligently.

01
RESOLVED
BEFORE BUILT
THE PRINCIPLE
Assumptions are challenged, missing decisions identified, and risk clarified before they become costly problems in the field.
02
CLARITY BEFORE COMMITMENT
THE PRINCIPLE
Confirmed scope and cost are distinguished from allowances, assumptions, and unresolved
risk before commitments are made.
03
READY
BEFORE STARTED
THE PRINCIPLE
Approvals, procurement, site conditions, logistics, and trade dependencies are aligned before the work relies on them.
04
VERIFIED
BEFORE CONCEALED
THE PRINCIPLE
Defined critical work is reviewed and documented before it is covered, closed, or made difficult to correct.
05
ACCOUNTABLE
BEYOND DELIVERY
THE PRINCIPLE
Closeout is deliberate, the completed work is explained clearly, and accountability continues beyond turnover.
